They have silly security measures where one cannot bring a bag or a water bottle with them. For this I give detract two stars. Seriously, do they think people are going to come into the reading room and blow themselves up, or fill a water bottle with gasoline and light it on fire? (Okay, I may be a little unfair since one could in theory spill the water bottle and ruin something, but its still an inconvenience) The potential benefit of these measures are outweighed by the cost in my opinion, but yours may differ. The library is otherwise quite fine for studying and research purposes. They have a microfilm reading room where one can look up old copies of newspapers and such, which I find facinating (see attached picture). For this I give a star.

Sweden's best and largest library with almost 18,100,000 items from across the globe!!

The Devil's Bible (Codex Gigas) from Czech Kingdom, the greatest manuscript of the world! Was stolen in 1648 in Prague...

Nice library, good free WiFi. The reading room is quite nice, old school. The rest of the building is quite modern - in a good way. What libraries should strive to be. Plenty of reading and study space. If you are looking for the library with the rotunda, this is NOT it. That would be Stockholms public library.

Very good library to find old magazines and newspapers. All old newspapers have been digitalized which is amazing.
